I knew those responses would be coming. I agree the Z06 is incredible bang for the buck. But remember those NSXs are early 90's cars. I think their performance is incredible, mine dynoed only 235 rwhp and I could keep up with regular C5s. Plus they hold value incredibly well, still worth high 20's to low 30's today... paid $35k for mine in 1998.
The NSX on a track is incredible.

Anyway, I got the NSX cause I couldn't afford a Ferrari at that time. My next car will be a probably be a 360.

BTW, The NSX was put on dollys and pushed into the back of the garage.

I don't want to sound rude but why are a lot of americans so partial to american made cars. Or, are you just mentioning other cars in the price range that you'd go for over an NSX?

If you want a high-end "baller" car there is no doubt you have to go european: Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamboghini, Porsche, Maserati (to some extent since they have Ferrari engines) etc etc.

I love vettes but if I could afford a supercar I wouldn't hesitate in getting one of the aforementioned car makers.

Just wondering, that's all.

My GUESS is that they were concerned with flat out horse power. Maybe 1/4 mile stats and top speed.

Although the NSX lacks power like that they're supposed to be great on the track.

I, like others, am confused why somone would own 3 of the same cars.

Having said all that the OP obviously has a lot more than I do.....NJ.

Valid point but any of the makers I mentioned would skin american cars alive for power, top speed and acceleration speed IMO. Maybe a top of the line vette might get close but no one does power and speed like the Europeans.

I can't argue any of that.

The only argument I couls see started from this is horsepowere per $. But then it wouldn't be a balla thread /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Viper is about 80k and has 500+ HP. The 2006 or 2007 Z06 has 505HP I believe.

Both of those cars stats in 0-60 and 1/4 aren't terribly far off from the European sports cars.

Once again I'm not trying to make an argument for which one I'd rather have a vette or a new Porche GT.

Unless I win the lottery or learn to play poker better I won't be getting either.

The first one is in Evanston. The second one (now that you mention it is a picture of the other Optima condo in Evanston) is supposed to be a pic of an Optima condo in Scottsdale.

The houses are in Phoenix...

And those NSXs...two of them were totalled at Road America on the same turn, not by me. There's only one left... /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Here's a pic of the one on the right side of the garage. I'll try to find a pic of the other one.

If you go visit some of the car forums you'll find that it's very common for car buffs to have multiples of the same cars. For example, one could be a show car, with the NAV, wheels, DVD, etc... the other could be a track car with a rollcage, sway bars, big brakes... and another could be a drag car with NOS, no AC, no radio, etc...

nsx is hand built, one of the rare gems, and they do handle well, very well balanced, but just because you have a go kart on the track doesn't mean you won't spin out with a bad driver, and even good drivers have their bad days...
