i put him on KK/QQ/JJ, but his bet sizes were so small that i decided to call him down, what do you think about my play here?

Raising the turn will accomplish neither of those.

I like a raise on the flop and then probably enter shutdownmode after that if called.

villain never has aq/aj here?
maybe not so much free showdown.

I may be too aggressive, but I re-pop it to $8 on the flop and shut down after that if called.

raising the turn is spew.

make a move on the flop I'd make it $9 to go, shutdown to further aggression.

it's not that bad a flop, we have an overpair and a gutshot and it's the nut draw so we're only really worried about a flopped straight (unlikely) or flopped 2pair, the board pairs so unless he has a K or KK (KK is unlikely given preflop action) we are usually good.

This looks like AK/AQ/AJ/KQ if villain called my flop raise and made tiny bets turn and river I'd calldown as well.

as played I think ths calldown is fine. KK/QQ/JJ are possible but this looks more like AK I think.

Raise the flop, and if villain calls, c/c the turn and river if he's going to continue to make tiny bets.

I agree.

And I hope villain had a K here and won the smallest pot possible against an opponent who has aces.

What an awful flop.

I think calling is best (on the flop). I don't see what raising accomplishes...I suppose value from AK/etc, but if he calls a raise, ugh.

I don't really mind calling down, but I think that you are losing value somewhere. I would probably value raise the river.

AQ, JT, TT ?

Only AQ calls that I see. Still, those bets are sooo small.
I want to get to showdown cheap, but not THAT cheap.
