bottom2, really tricky spot. party 2k6m.
read on sb is fairly limited as i dont think weve played before... i have him at 15/5.5 over about 100 hands thus far... he has a westcoast loc, and his sn is an initial followed by a last name... he has done nothing esp remarkable. he is def multitbling cause im in another game w/ him, when getting on lists i didnt notice him in other games, so mb 2 mb more, but prob not 8. no read on button.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) converter Hero ($2899) CO ($4108) Button ($513.80) SB ($2356) BB ($8763.63) UTG ($1960) Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $10. 1 fold, Hero raises to $70, 1 fold, Button calls $70, SB (poster) calls $60, BB calls $50. Flop: ($280) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB bets $210, BB folds. ok good news is i flopped 2pr in a 4way raised pot, everything else is the bad news... whats the flop play? if u have a plan for diff turn cards (assuming we dont get AI or fold somewhere) plz discuss. game was really live earlier as a there was a big fish playing wild, but the past few rounds it has been quite tight, this is the first time i hae seen 4way action, been in the game about 45min. |

Re: bottom2, really tricky spot. party 2k6m.
This seems like looking at KTo in middle-late position in a ring NL game when its been folded to you... calling, raising and folding all look somewhat good and somewhat bad.
You obviously have to be concerned that you flopped a second best hand, but there is a substantial chance that someone holds QdJd or a similar draw, or perhaps just the nut flush draw. If the sb will bet his draws into large fields like this, then you may want to raise in an attempt to narrow the field, gain position and reevaluate if he goes allin. Another option, which I don't think I like as much, is to just call the flop so that you dont commit yourself too much. The ideal situation here is that the button folds and a blank falls on the turn, but with a hand as vunerable as bottom two in a multiway pot, I think your best option is to raise. If some good read or obvious action tells you that you're up against a higher two pair or set, I suppose you can find a fold on the flop, but I agree, this is a really tricky spot. |

Re: bottom2, really tricky spot. party 2k6m.
My default is to raise here and fold if the button shoves, and call if the sb shoves. In general I think you see big draws too much here to fold to a 3 bet. This is really tricky, and you know better than I do anyways.

I hate calling here and making move on turn, as its super expensive.
While you risk getting pushed out by draw, i prob raise flop and fold to push. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is not good advice as he will be pushing a draw here alot. Bad spot but raise and get it in. Sucks if he has KQ, but thats poker. Also preflop is not good. |
