Re: merge range vs loose passive?
Also, since the guys a station and the flop is connected, his range is more heavily weighted towards air here because he could have been calling with connector draws that would instafold river, giving our bet less value.

id actually be quite concerned with Ax. he may have more Ax here than 9x and pairs below, let alone the hands he calls with (and as aejones said, he's never folding worse so). There's no way to balance all the times you are bad when you bet with the times are you good, here. [/ QUOTE ] I feel like there's value in this post but i cant understand what your trying to say...are you advocating a fold because of the likelihood of Ax? |

Re: merge range vs loose passive?
Personally I see absolutely no value in betting this river, even against a calling station.

Re: merge range vs loose passive?
I say check it behind. There's no value here cuz he's not calling you all the way with a 9 or a PP with that Ace on the board. You may fold out some chops, but way way more often he's going to have either some busted draw or an Ace.

Re: merge range vs loose passive?
And I really don't think he needs a flush draw to peel the flop with any Ace.

Re: merge range vs loose passive?
I'd just check this down since I think he very often calls w/ a ten here, obv an ace, and more seldomly a bare nine.
