$60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
villian is a tag winning regular. he is sorta new to the 60's so i dont a ton of experience vs him. he probably has some sort of read that i am tight.

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
If he had raised like 4bb preflop, maybe a flatcall for that pos can be defended, but only 3 bb, at low blinds, w 4 ppl behind, is way too risky. BB peels a flop off too often w unpredictable rags. As played, i kinda like flop, but bet turn 500-ish, two flushdraws out there..

I like it. I'm tempted to make a small bet on the turn though.

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
Not thrilled with preflop. Invites more people in with 4 yet to act. Rarely stacks Villain unless he's stacking preflop anyway. Typically you either win a small pot or lose a big one. Just raise it up.

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
Preflop is ok some of the time against a winning tag. On the flop anything you do other than fold is going to look strong and raise suspicions. I would just shove and hope he has a PP he can't fold.

Raise the flop before bad cards like the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] can come off

Raise the flop before bad cards like the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] can come off [/ QUOTE ] hmmmm... the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] seems to be a good card.. he didn't pick up the hearts or the oesd. Queens draw out, but isn't he getting it in with or without hitting? I like a flop raise because the Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] isn't so pretty. But hey, I've pulled a 1% ROI over the last 2k games, so what do i know? |

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
The WAy you played it was alright. I like betting the turn, because it sort of looks like a float or a flush draw trying to take a stab. You probably could of gotten your 350 out on the turn, and a little more on the river.

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
i think its imposible that your beat and imposible that any bet is being called on the river..
looks alot like TT or JJ.. the only feasable hand that could call a bet here would be KK (going for c/r on turn?? unlikely), which would probably call a psb, so i go bigger on river. |

Re: $60 trap with AA vs winning regular?
Re-raising preflop probably gets the same amount or more because you can induce pushes from hands like AK/QQ/JJ that may shut down postflop.
