Sucker end of the str8 facing river push, what to do?
villain in this hand is 46/10/2, so not great, but hasn't shown any inclination to go after unraised pots up until this point. This hand comes up:
Cryptologic No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $188.60 UTG+1: $163.32 CO: $31.33 Button: $96 SB: $89.62 Hero: $114.80 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero checks. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($4, 4 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2.5, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, SB raises to $5, Hero raises to $14.5, UTG+1 folds, SB calls. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($35.5, 2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. River: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($35.5, 2 players) SB is all-in $76.62 Is three betting him on the flop the right play? i was after info more than anything, reasoning i could probably fold out a better str8 draw, maybe keep two pairs or a set, fold to a push. Hows my check behind on the turn? Should I call this push? |

Bet more initially on the flop. Make people call a PSB with their strt draws.

Flop: Bet more, 3-4. 3bet ok
Turn: Bet/fold River: As played, fold |

Re: Sucker end of the str8 facing river push, what to do?
Thanks guys,
for clarification, if we're betting the turn, how much should it be? Edit: The only reasonable i can think of that we beat on the turn is a naked ten, remember villain is not prone to spewing in these spots to date. Is betting really so standard? |

Yeah I like the bet/fold line on the turn, as played river is pretty easy fold.
