I certainly don't want to play a big pot w/ my hand against the big stack.....Is this correct?

u prolly wanna be raising there pre-flop, 3.5x BB... .35, or so....if he calls, then i would definetly feel good about my hand in that spot.....but the way u played, he could have a hand like 84, maybe a set, more than likely a flush draw st8 draw.....i still think u should call there, peel off a card and re-evaluate on the turn.....if u get a 5,6,7,8 non-spade, u have more outs if he has 2 pr....folding is pretty weak here though....i might even raise depending on the read....idk bout the big stack thing, u wanna get in big pots w/ anyone when u have a hand, here is no different.......i dont know about that strategy....hope this helps...KP

I would have raised PF as well, you're OOP and you want at least some information about CO's hand. As played I'd call flop and evaluate, I just hate minraises.

I think it is not the worst fold on the flop, since you dont have any information and you certainly dont wanna get broke in an unraised pot.
As said above: Raise preflop.

Once I call, how do I proceed here? Do I lead out the turn on a non threatening card?? That's where i got lost.

i'd basically call and hope to spike a 7. if an 8 hits, he'll prolly wuss out if he had 99 or something, so id check and see or donk 2/3 pot. otherwise, fold to a strong turn bet.
