Making Donk plays to set-up Future Hands
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Hero ($112.05) UTG ($43.05) MP ($115.20) Button ($6.30) SB ($55.65) Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, [Button raises to $3, 1 fold, Hero raises to $7, Button calls $3.30 (All-In). Flop: ($13.80) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Turn: ($13.80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) River: ($13.80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $13.80 Hero has 8c 3d (two pair, eights and fours). Button has 7c 9c (one pair, fours). Outcome: Hero wins $13.80. I won the hand, but I'd post it even if I lost. Winning this hand is not the point of the play. I expect to be a 2-1 dog here on average, which means that bet has about an EV of -$3.00 each time. However, I think this is made up for the LAG/Donk image it creates for me. This is the cheapest situation I can think of to set up this image. I expect that it could lead to future +EV situations. Thoughts? |

Standard. I make similar plays against shorties all the time.

Re: Making Donk plays to set-up Future Hands
Wouldn't bother with this kind of play myself. I make enough donk plays without trying to add more.
I doubt anybody puts a lot of weight on what you do against a short stack. |
