Re: low set on a coordinated board
He doesn't have the straight, he bet the flop showing strong cards maybe solid suited cards. The A isn't scary, if he had AA he would have been betting away. I think he has Ah and another picture cardl.

Re: low set on a coordinated board
[ QUOTE ]
I was afraid of the straight. Should i have bet and folded to a raise? Bet/call? Then what about the river? [/ QUOTE ] Being afraid is nothing to base decisions on. Its not so difficult to be confident that CO doesn't have a 4, what the other 2 are calling with preflop is unknown to us, but you probably should have at least a vague idea of how their VPIP is ahnd what they do pf. Even if they're calling with rubbish like 74o pf, there's no need to assume one of them must have a 4. Simply bet the Turn and then seen what happens. if you get raised by CO and the other guys fold, you are only beaten by a higher set and are in great shape. If you just get called, bet the River again and 3 bet the river if CO raises, b/c he most probably spiked 2pair. |
