Default High Stakes Poker 2/6/06

My first question on the episode tonight...

Why did Farha agree to run his 70-30 favorite twice?

Since it reduces variance?

That's the first time I heard the term "straddle."

Could someone please explain this term?

UTG posts 2x BB and becomes the "big blind" for the hand. It now costs 2x BB to call from any other position and the "Straddler" gets the option to check/raise if it is limped around.

Would be cool if they started letting us do it online, lol. Pretty much a -EV thing as it creates a big pot w. a blind hand OOP. Though it is a nice feeling to look down @ AA after you straddle and the pot is raised and re-raised.

Just instigates action really.

Todd Brunson:

I think Shawn's an idiot and he's gonna lose all his money.

Hahahahahahahahaha! That's funny because it's true.
