$400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
Villain is Wyern, a very good and aggressive 30/20 regular in the PS 2/4. We don't have much history in the session leading up to this hand, stolen a few blinds and the occasional 3-bet but nothing out of line. I know he likes to squeeze lightly, but not really relevant for this hand.

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
i dont know if its a good fold to tell you the truth. First of all the only time he got aggressive is when all the draws missed. unless he has a straight i dont see him having much of a hand. I dont think he has a set, because a that board is too scary to slow play a set like this. If he did have a set or two pair he is probly value bettign instead of pushing all in on the river. But it is good to know how to get off that top pair.

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
I don't think this is a good fold here. I can't see what he could hold with this line other than J8 or air (with J8 being very unlikely even for an aggro).

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
I probably call this as its a button open and bb repop. I'm expecting him to have me beat a decent amount of the time though with a set/AA/KK/random 2-pair/straight. It's air enough to call though.

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
It seems like consensus is to call this, and I agree with that. I feel like he'll have JJ/Tx/bluff 1/3 of the time. That being the case, if we're calling a blank river, what are we doing on the turn if he pushes, which is essentially pot?

Unless he is crazy aggro, I think we muck more than call.

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
Wyvern is capable of bluffing here but most tight villians are showing up with set AA/KK.

Re: $400 - Still learning this overpair fold thing
I don't think I call this flop bet without the intentions of getting it in a blank. Stack sizes make this fold very ackward. Because of this I am not above 4 betting preflop.
