Tough Spot with 88
SB is F.savage whos a pretty solid tag. 16.5/14/5 over the 800 or so hands ive played with him.
Ive been playing relatively loose and 3-betting / squeezing light. Thought he could also make this play with 45 and 44-77 along with the obv 22/33. Thoughts... SB cc, calls again and then c/r here. I don't think calling is good.

Splashing around? This really really really really really looks like 22-33 here. I think you're ahead here a very small % of the time. I'm folding here almost always. |

The main thing im unsure about here though is if we're folding 88 are we also folding AA-1010 cause vs his probable range isnt 88 most likely just as strong as AA/KK here considering preflop. |

Re: Tough Spot with 88
Does anybody reraise a bit more PF?
We're offering pretty good odds here for both players to come along. I don't play MS SHNL, but the OP directed me to this thread, so I figured I'd chime in. Is this reraise done as a squeeze, or for value. 4 handed, it's kinda a bit of both, so I think the size of the reraise is pretty important. I don't necessarily want to see a flop here 3-handed. I don't know te dynamics of the table at the time though. On postflop, I think villain could play 22-77 exactly the same, as well as 88, 99. Doubtful TT-AA play this way, but I could see AA, KK mixing it up a bit here. What about a suited connector type hand? I suppose 45s could be making this flop play as well. Tough to say, but I don't hate the call, we do beat quite a bit of his range, imo. - Zach |

Re: Tough Spot with 88
Dont reraise preflop 88. Fold to flop shove- almost nobody makes this play with mere overs. You don't beat anything. If he's solid TAG its 99.9% he has u beat- y the hell if he wuz solid tag would he call a preflop reraise with 45 off? You need some major history to make this kind of call.
