Default Adjustments - PP to __?

Party to Stars

How much of a difference do the following make:

9 vs 10 player STT
Early levels with deeper stacks
Antes
Skill-level of opponents

Thanks

e to the pi(i).

Seriously, they are not all that different. A little more play early, a little bit slower structure (I'm comparing Speeds to Turbos). Don't ignore the antes when calculating pot odds, push/fold, etc. Otherwise go play them and you'll get the idea soon enough.

The biggest pain in the ass is they can drag on forever if several people bust out early and you are just sitting there shuffling chips around waiting for push/fold time, or heads-up because each showdown takes like 2 minutes to put the damn cards out.

But that also means you can play more tables. It's a little tougher 12-tabling Stars than it was 8-tabling Party but they are roughly comparable.

Also take some time to explore the software. Pick a color scheme you like, turn on the waffle cards, pick a favorite seat, and set up a layout for however many tables you want to play (open a bunch of cash tables but don't sit down and then choose "tile" from the little popup on one of the tables then save it as a layout) if you like to see all your tables.

How does the party 11 compare to star 16s? 22s to 27s?

i never played party but i cant imagine they will be any harder to beat. 6.50s-27s extremely dokish IMO, 60s ive heard are easy too but i dont know personally. of course in terms of # of regulars 27s>16s>6.5s but i think anyone with basic grasp of sngs can beat the 27s.

I played on Party for more than a year, and now I have switched to Stars.

On Party I played the 22's and 33's, where the skill level was low.

On Stars I started on the 16's and I think the level of competition is roughly the same as the 22's. But you will find more regulars (like me) on stars and that can cut a bit into the hourly rate.

many many many regulars at the 16s. expect to see one or two of the same players at 9 or 10 of your tables during peak times.
