Raise for value on the river?

I was pretty new to the table, maybe 5 hands in... the player to my immediate left just raised from mp with JTo and went to showdown with it UI. Maybe should have 3-bet pf... but what about this river? Am I behind AQ too often when its raised right ahead of me or are we going to 3 town?

i think goign for the overcall on the river is fine. but i agree that you should have been more aggressive on the other streets.

So, as I suspected we had overpair (KK) which was leading until the river. No AQ though, so MHIG.

Everyone is giving me a hard time here, for not raising more, but I feel u got to respect 3-bets from the BB. Any decent hand is coming along for the ride in a big pot like this, but to add money into it OOP and give away any deception screams AA,KK,QQ,AKs, or AQs. Im behind all of those hands except AK after the flop... so why am I raising?
