Default 5/10 - Trouble with AQs vs LAG

I was really lost on this hand, after the back to back c/r's - I intended to call down after the turn check raise. Then when he cehcked to me again on the river and I made my two pair, I felt I had to bet it, and then bam.. Mainly my question is, do I raise here or just call?

Also comments on all streets welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Just call. a turn c/r and river c/r is usually either a very strong play, or an attempt to bluff you off. You're ahead enough to call, but not ahead often to risk getting capped.

I like your play on all the other streets.

I definitely call this here. This would be a tough laydown against a more sane player, but since you improved on the river to beat any two pair he may have had, you gotta take this to showdown.

Yea i was mainly debating between calling and raising on the river here... I obviously was seeing a showdown

how out of line has this guy gotten before? would he give this action with less than a set? he seems very aggro so i think i like a 3bet...at least from looking at his numbers. i guess the question is, would he payoff with AK? the correct play here is VERY read-dependent.

This is a very easy 3bet against just about anyone, and against this guy it's automatic. At best, he has AK, AJ, at worst he has some nonsense. I'd even 5bet if he 4bet if I could.

lmao... you have to love a triple check-raise... seriously...

At least a call is in order here 100% of the time, i'm hoping you are not putting the ? mark up there asking if you should fold you're getting 13.7 to 1 for christ's sake, folding here would be AWFUL against just about anyone, let alone this maniac...

playing against people this laggy can be very difficult... i can't fault you on any play throughout the hand... preflop is a definite 3-bet, flop is a definite raise, turn is a definite bet-call, and i bet-call or bet-3-bet that river 100% of the time... a good part of me wants to 3-bet this douche bag on the river... but i can be a spewmaster sometimes...

i'd be interested to see if anyone has recommended the 3-bet here... i think calling down is the best option because i'm suspecting you're only getting capped if you're beaten here, although he could have A-J here a fair amount of the time...

If this guy really is the kind of lag that is giving us problems, I really don't mine three betting the turn. The river, to me is an easy three bet. Hell, It's a pretty easy three bet versus a looes passive

yeah, after i posted and read some other responses I think that's the correct play, we just passed up the majority of his hands here, and I feel like I was wrong in suspecting that we would only be 4-bet if we were beaten

I called.. He showed AJ.. my hand was good.

Yea the decision was always between calling and raising, folding never crossed my mind.
