And Bodog is currently at 25.5 if you still have the "square" lines. Wow.

You can compare the sharp lines vs the square lines at bodog (if you have the sharp lines) by comparing on two different browsers.

Log in on one (your usual browser), and use the same URL to look at lines without being logged in via the second browser:

https://www.bodoglife.com/sports-bet...l-football.jsp

(make sure and clear cookies on the second browser if you've ever logged in with it).

Right now I show the Sharp line as +25 (-115) and the Square line as +26 (-110).

I imagine we'll continue to see public "catch up" money pour in on the Pats until close to kickoff when the sharps will hammer it backwards a bit.

Pulled the trigger on -24.5. Can't believe I am giving this many points. Parlayed the over though most here probably think thats stupid.

Only an idiot would say that is -EV.

OK, good. My impression is that the forum generally thinks parlays are sucker bets but this seemed so correlated that I couldn't resist.

Does anyone think books might just stop taking action on the Pats till the playoffs?

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this serious?

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you feel stupid now that some books have taken this game down?

[/ QUOTE ]

I, myself, actually feel smarter reading your posts on the matter.

[/ QUOTE ]

Jazzy I agree with you that the books will quit taking bets on the Pats til playoff time. I mean they have lost soooo much moniez. I think they might quit taking football bets all together to help stop the losses that the Pats have caused for them this season. I mean this is some crazy shiat. Also I am being very cereal here folks. MANBEARPIG IS REAL !!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So for the record was NE -25' the largest NFL line ever? I heard the announcers last night say that this was the biggest line in decades - was there ever a higher spread in NFL history?

closed at 24, same as 1976 Pit v TB,
1993 spread of 23 of SFO v Cinci was a 24-8 final.
GG 21+ pt dogs.

well it did happen. Got up to 26 at one point? So we've set a new unofficial record. However, the line is unlikely to be that high anytime in the near future as people realize that the Pats are not perfect, and that even a crappy looking team can keep it very close with them. Suppose the lines will plummet after this one.
