Default Settle a dispute: Route to Canterbury

Coming from St. Cloud, the best way to go to the Park is to take 169 right? A buddy of mine says its better to take 494 to 212 and then go through Shakopee. This can't be right, can it?

Just off of reading this I would have said yes, however putting it into Yahoo! Maps, it looks like he is right and taking 94/494 down to the Eden Prairie area and then jumping onto 169.

I used to live in Anoka and I would just hop onto 169 but being as close as you are to 94 that seems to be a better route.

You go a little bit out of the way taking 10 to 169 the whole way.

I'd go your route then. Taking 212 to 101 to cross the river is a bit longer than going to 169 and doubling back just a little bit.

The traffic on 169 can be brutal. Take 212 and save time.

Stay away / don't go. Is that an option?

Okay, if you must, take 169 and double back so you don't need to slow down by going through the city.

This is good advice. We'll probably slum it at 4-8 and my chances of beating the rake/tips/beer are slim.

pretty sure you are both wrong. assuming no traffic i think the fastest is 94-494-169.

How about 95 East to WI 8 East and roll into Turtle Lake for the Cadillac of Poker?

169 south -> canterbury = best

169 south is rarely busy that far down it.
