Yes I remember this hand, this is exactly the hand I was talking about: I make a terrible play here (just looking at the hand). I decided to look you up in this hand no matter what. Def -EV here but more to get a better understanding of your game. I do this more (not often though...) so maybe you picked up on this. Do you have any other examples? It will have to be vs you since I play quite differently vs most opponents (at least I'd like to believe I think I do ).

Further, I can't remember ever tilting vs you, but I don't mind if you think I do for obv. reasons.

About the adjusting. You are absolutely right. I'm having trouble adjusting to you but will keep trying :P. It has also become somewhat obvious to me (not on the forum but at the tables) that you seem to be targeting me occasionally...but maybe I'm seeing ghosts whatever, I don't care, bring it on!

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'll definately be looking into it. Although...in all honesty...I do get the feeling you may be drawing some conclusions about someone's game a bit too quickly, but again, ofcourse I don't mind that at all.

edit: I'm also very curious to your bb/100 and the sample size, care to share?

edit2: sorry for the ton's of edit's, I'm trying to write some descent English here which is not my native language.

Edit: By the way, care to share your ptbb/100 on those tables? And at what sample size?

[/ QUOTE ]

If I remember correctly, Narena said that he was running at 3.25 ptBB/100 at NL200 full ring on Full Tilt.

Yeah, 6.5BB/100 over ~700,000 hands. This month I've not been playing too well, but last month I had a nice streak and ran at over 10BB/100 (5ptBB/100) during a 100k hand sample.

He's so sick, it was like 136,000 hands or something like that!!! I'd be happy if I put in 50,000 a month!!

Narena, what is your typical daily schedule like in order to get in 130k hands a month? As for myself, I can't play in sessions longer than 2 hours without taking at least a half hour break in-between, so i usually can only bang out 40-50k hands a month...

It was actually 149,100 hands in total last month!

I average 6-7 hours/day, usually some time between 9pm and 6am EST.

I often just play through without a break- although if I'm not playing well I'll try to stop for a while. It's probably advisable to take a rest every 2 hours or so in general though!

Just to make myself sick I made a comparison and looked back in my database. Since April 20, I have played 148,627 hands. Took most of June and a lot of October off, but still, you're a sick man. I guess I need to play more.

lol, yeah it's a lot of hands- but it's not too extreme considering it's my only job.

A lot of people with "normal" jobs certainly put in a lot more hours and work much harder.

I completely agree. I was working 70-80 hour weeks on my job before I quit at the end of October '06. Compared to that, what you are doing isn't THAT extreme.

However part of my decision to leave my job for poker was to take on a very flexible lifestyle. In order for poker to not feel like a "job" to me, even though it is, I usually limit myself to 25 hours per week. The one thing I had to do in order to keep up in these tough post-UIGEA games was increase from 2 to 5 tables. So I used to be a 2-tabler at 40 hours per week and now I'm a 5-tabler at 25 per week. That way I get better than 50% more hands in while playing less time. Unfortunately it's sad to say but it's just not possible to earn a living 2-tabling 200NL any more. If I wanted to try the only option would be to move up.

I give you credit though. For all the adjustments I made to increase my number of hands, you've done the same thing but taken it to the max possible in all cases, which allows you to make a crazy large income. Maybe one day I'll try to take on that challenge but right now I'm content to pay the bills and save a little on the side. Just gonna have to get a lot more miles out of my '95 Taurus.
