Default Is this a situation to take -EV?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t150 (6 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t3895)
UTG+1 (t1555)
CO (t1750)
Hero (t1060)
SB (t3090)
BB (t2150)

Preflop: Hero is on Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">UTG folds</font>, <font color="gray">UTG+1 folds</font>, <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="red">Hero Raises to t1060 (All-in)</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>, <font color="gray">BB folds</font>

Im struggling slightly with this section of the tournament, which occurs frequently. If I put the SB and BB on level 4 (loose) on SNGPT (which is reasonable as most players know Im agressive) then I get en EV of -0.3%. However, is this one of those situations where I should still be pushing as future opportunities will be even more -EV?

BTW, I play $27s &amp; 60$

you M is less than 5. so you have to make a move soon. if you get called you will probably be dominated so i probably wait for a suited connector here, two broadway or a pocket pair.

what about this M?

OP, in my opinion it is a bad assumption to put both SB and BB on the same calling range. SB will likely be somewhat tighter because he has to worry about overcalls. If you tighten SB up it becomes marginally +EV.

If presented with this situation again, the action I would take would be to go all in.

Also, welcome to the forums!

Edit: i messed up the calcs myself but I'm pretty sure it's still a shove.
Edit2: Eh, it's pretty close, but I probably still push.

I don't like it, especially if you think they're gunna call pretty light. You're by no means totally desperate here to be shoving this IMO. I'd go w/ 44+, A7+, KJ+ given the ranges you quote off the top of my head.

Thanks for your responses (and the welcome!).

I seem to have been knocked out on a considerable amount of tournaments recently in similar siuations, so wanted to gauge opinions. Really, as with many situations, its so heavily dependant on villains ranges.

bingo. If i were you, and if you dont have SNGPT already, I would get it and make sweet love to it until a hand like this is a second nature decision in a sng based on your reads of the situation.
