AK with somewhat big chiplead in satellite
9 left in a satellite. Top 5 all get a seat.
Blinds are 200/400 ante 20 I have 18k, everyone else between 5k-11k. UTG with a stack of 7k raises to 1200. Folded to me in the cutoff with AK. I fold. |

Re: AK with somewhat big chiplead in satellite
Seems standard. I'll sometimes get frisky here and call to see a flop. Usually I'll end up regretting it since if I whiff the flop I'm done.

Definitely fold here considering its a satellite and you're in great shape

Re: AK with somewhat big chiplead in satellite
I don't like this play. If you were in the blinds its alright, but folding this in position is a little weak/ tight. The stack sizes you described show me that there is still a lot of play left, and your seat is def. not a gaurantee. I really dont like folding here though, AK seems too strong here. Any reads on UTG raiser? Is this a weak/tight table? Are these players strong?
Edit: What I'm really trying to say is that i don't think it's right to call this an easy fold without evaluating the table as well as the pre flop raiser's range and likelyhood to fold to a re raise. |
