I don't actively seek Pavel, but I certainly don't avoid him.

I actually had Pavel55 on my buddylist for a while, but there are far bigger fish out there so i usually don't bother to sit with him.

Anyone have any thoughts on Montezuma21 (me ldo)? I play Party 200NL

Also, WTF? this is just moronic, for reasons already stated:

You play 50/13/5 over my 23 hand sample...

Agree about Pavel, though. He's crazy and capable of spectacular spews, but I expect he makes a little money from the game. His spews are offset by a lot of standard moves he makes that are moneywinners in SSNL, in my experience. There are much bigger fish than him, that play regularly, even.

Yeah i tend to play a little laggy when there are regs at my table, so i assume my stats are skewed somewhat with other 2p2ers. i also tend to limp rather more than most 2p2ers after loose-passive types. i haven't checked to see whether that's profitable or not, but i have a feeling it is.

Pavel is def. a winner at the game IMO, because there are so many people who stack off light against him, but i find him sooooo easy to run over. i'd imagine he's prolly running at something like 2BB/100.

Yeah i tend to agree with the above, however, i've still got him down $4565.03 from 6324 mostly mined hands. (All NL200)

I have him down over 80k+ hands, he's most probably a small looser at 200NL.

I really don't get him though, why continue playing that much (without even trying to alter your game) when you're obv. donating money? It's not like multitabling for 8+ hours/day is fun.

Same could be said of playing the pokies...

I think many poker players ignore the fact that they take a lot of money off hopeless gambling addicts.

You're assuming players have moral objections to that. I, for one, don't. I'm torn between indifference and feelings of contempt towards my opponents.

[/ QUOTE ]You're assuming I assume that. I've come to live with where my money comes from on the back of two facts: 1) The fish want to take my money just as much as I want to take theirs, and 2) Relative skill is all that matters which means it's a level playing field--anyone can work on and improve their game.

Other people have their own justifications, and others just don't care.

However, I believe a lot of poker players either don't think about or deliberately ignore the fact that their bankrolls are padded with money taken off degenerate gambling addicts.
