Default Re: looking for general ideas

It depends on what you are looking to get out of this group. If you are looking for strategy advice and are willing to put your hand histories in and accept unbiased and biased advice then check out the strat foruems here. They are broken down by type of game and limits, e.g. Tournament Poker: Small Stakes MTT or PL/HL Hold Em: Micro Stakes. Make sure to read the FAQ on top of each forum to find out the rules and specifics since each ones have their own set of standards.

If you are looking for more of a community of fellow poker players you can check out the General Poker Discussion topics. Televised Poker, Brick and Mortar, Home Poker, etc all have posts geared to that subject. Strategy discussions about specific hands are typically not permitted although this can be open to interpretation.

Forums like Poker Theory and Beginners also fall under General Poker but they aren't really the same as above.

Then there are the "other" forums that fall under 2+2 Communities and Other Topics. They are pretty self explanatory and they have FAQ's.

I think most people here find a mix of things to look at. There are some hard core strat people but they tend to stay locked inside with no sun so we hardly ever see them.
