husng - preflop minraisers - contemplating 4-bet
villain has been min 3betting me fairly often now. he's a bit loose postflop. i never fold to these (in position + good odds = bad fold), but i'm wondering whether I should be 4-betting or not. normally, if I call and whiff the flop, I'll fold to a bet. seems like taking back in the initiative is better. thoughts?
Stacks are 1500/1500 with 10/20 blinds Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises 40 to 60 Villain raises 40 to 100 Time for a 4-bet? If you say no, what if I had AT? |

Re: husng - preflop minraisers - contemplating 4-bet
It depends on the frequency with which he's been mini-raising you . If he's been doing it like half the time (there are players like this) then you should clearly put in another raise . The only way you can answer this is to give us the frequency or range of hands you think he's doing this with .

Re: husng - preflop minraisers - contemplating 4-bet
I don't have a good idea of what people minraise with, I guess. For a loose player who is doing this frequently, who doesn't 3-bet pot it at all, who just minraises, i'd say its a very wide range. A2+,K8+,Q8+,J7+,T7+,22+ something like that.
