Default bellagio chips

i have read here that bellagio chips are as good as currency. is that the case? for example, im staying at the wynn, but want to have a large sum available for me to use. i just called the wynn and they said they will only issue up to 10% in cash from the amount of the bank check i bring.

well i want to be able to play poker at the wynn, bellagio, venetian, where ever. could i bring my bank check to the bellagio, get chips there, and bring the B chips to venetian or wynn and use/convert them?

Google "Nigerian scam cashiers check"
Don't think the casinos want to get burned by bad cashiers/certified checks

There was the original scare that there was some trouble cashing out Bellagio chips or using them at other casinos, but I haven't heard anything on that for a few months. I've had lots of friends using them as normal. If nothing else, get chips and then trade friends your chips for cash.

rio accepts bellagio and wynn chips as well as chips from all harrahs locations

bellagio and wynn will accept chips from each other and possibly the rio if you have a players card at the other locations so they can verify

often you can simply trade flags from B or W in cash games

bellagio chips are good as gold as the rule

"all harrahs locations" nationwide/globally? Or just other vegas harrah's properties? I.E. can I bring $5k chips from the Tunica Horseshoe to any Harrah's joint in Vegas and cash them?
