Default 10/20 middle PP overpair

This was on bodog, so no HH.

Effective stacks are about 2400

Villain is pretty good, he'll show up here preflop with just about anything. Everytime I've seen him showdown he's had the goods. I don't fear an overpair here because I'm quite sure he would reraise with JJ+

I'm UTG with T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and raise to 70.
UTG+1 calls. the rest fold

flop is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I lead 150 and he calls

Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, he checks.

River is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I'd like to hear your river action, and if you bet, what do you do if raised. Thanks!

wow i have not seen nor heard from you since that random mtt game thingy, lol.

um you should not be so sure he can't have jj here if it's full ring (from preflop read at least, he prob bets it on the turn tho).

anyways, bet 3/4 pot. if he raises fold unless for some random reason you think he is capable of a random bluff raise here, but chances are he is not.

haha I've been around. I cashed the wsop, and played in the poker dome which was fun. But after those, I took some time off, got married, moved, so now I'm getting back into poker. I'll probably be posting around here more in the near future since I'm getting into cash games now.

Thanks for posting! I will comment on the hand in a bit. btw, it was 6max, my fault for not saying that in the OP.

Couldn't a good player bluff-raise the river often considering u prob don't have a 4 or 6 raising UTG? Not saying b/f isn't a good standard play but it just seems it would be easy to exploit (although thats almost never the case when something seems exploitable) Also ansky, wouldn't A high be likely to call a smaller bet like 1/2 pot, or does a small bet look too blockish?

he doesnt have ace high (look at the flop) and he can't raise profitably on the river as a bluff because we'll often have an overpair big enough that we won't fold it. with TT, though, we have to fear JJ+.

TWP: players peel this flop with ace high all the time.

yeah, I really think villain is repopping JJ+ preflop.

How often do you think he has 35 here trying to get value from a big PP?
