nath, yeah, bc I AM really interested in her. I'm not pushing, but I am feeling. We've had good times so far (only two "dates") and she always stops at the end to tell me that. I just keep telling myself not to get excited. I want to SO bad. Aces in the hole and I'm a nit. #$%*

Nobody EVER gets the girl they REALLY REALLY REALLY want because if you think they're that good, they think they're that good, and obv too good for you. Don't ACT mildly interested and generally w/e about the situation, BE mildly interested and generally w/e about the situation. IME the easiest way to do that is to preemptively 'get over her' by focusing on going out and solidifying in your mind that there are PLENTY of BETTER girls out there and that if this one doesn't work out - meh. This puts you in the right frame of mind to interact with her. She'll see that you have your own thing going on and appreciate that you have a fun life that she wants to be part of (make sure it's somthing FUN - playing videogames and poker doesn't really resonate with the ladies). Seriously, you have a great shot with this one IF YOU STOP CARING SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!! Don't talk about being exclusive - she doesn't know she wants you to herself yet. Don't mention the other guy b/c who the [censored] is he? He's nobody and not worth your breath. Keep it incredibly positive, light, and fun. Let him worry about how much fun she's having with you. Let her worry about how much fun you're having with other girls. Don't mean to rant, but hate to see guys implode as these situations can get sticky quickly and one misstep up front and your opportunity is blown. Again - GL |
