these guys tend to be so bad at value betting though, so I'd rather check turn and call a river blank.

Betting the turn does have the benifit that it charges a flush draw and could maybe even fold out a better hand (unlikely I know, but it's still possible). If we're checking the turn i think we're gonna have a hard time calling a bet on the river (unless it's small).

I like a check behind much better if we had more outs, we have at most 2 here if we're behind, so giving our selves a chance to win the pot right here is best I think. If I'm putting in any more money it's on the turn. Thoughts?

this thing is, this guy is so passive, if he bets the river we're probably beat and can feel good about folding.
