Default PS11 => Vilain range...

Hello,

I have just moved up to PS 11 from the 5.5. I am looking in deep on all my hands because it seems quite diferent how players play at these buyins.

Here is a hand I was looking at (comments on all streets and analyse plz)

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t30 (7 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t1575)
UTG+1 (t1190)
MP1 (t3025)
CO (t2355)
Button (t2810)
SB (t1085)
Hero (t1460)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG calls t30, UTG+1 raises to t90, MP1 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds,

1st Question: What should Hero do?

Ok I have KK, UTG+1 raises to 3BB. I don't want to give him an easy card so I will re-raise him 3x and take limper off.

Hero raises to t270, UTG folds,

UTG+1 raises to t600,
Question #2: What range is vilain making this move with?

Ok, he probably has AT+, TT+, I am in lead and can't fold hand. Calling is stupid, I will be pushing any non Ace flop. I want all his chips pf. Folding? You gotta be kidding. I crush everything except AA. Push I go

Hero raises to t1460 (All-in), UTG+1 calls t590 (All-in)

Question #3: What range does he have now for calling my All-in?

The short answer to this post is that it doesn't matter because you should never fold KK pf. Ever. It's only worth the time to find his range if it would affect your decision. And it won't. And it definitely doesn't matter what his range is once you're all-in.

Besides, it's hard to tell what villain's range is without being given any reads. It's early, but did you see how villain lost his chips? Has he shown down any hands?

Even though the 11s are faily loose, I think you are putting him on too large a range after his re-raise. There is no way he's re-raising with A10, AJ, or 10 10. I would expect QQ or AA -- your dominating with one and being dominated with the other.

Once he re-raised to $600, you can forget his calling range for the all-in, because he is going all the way with this hand. Push it and hope to see him turn over QQ.

My main concern is what range do 11$ players have usually for pf raise and re-raise..

As for reads, only hand he lost was against a total maniac. He had TPTK and other rivered 2 bottom pairs...

In the $11s, it's impossible to tell without any good reads. I play $11s and $22s, and I would never re-raise this early with less than AA. But there are plenty of nuts in the $11s who will go all the way with AJ.

You ask ranges :

total donk : Ax, 22+, KQ

normal donk : 99+, AK, AQ

FYI, my range here would be QQ+, maybe AKs.

I've seen players making moves like this with very wide ranges. Sometimes you will meet AA, but most of the times not. Just get your chips in preflop if you can, I'm pretty sure that will make profit in the long run. Basically the same with QQ, unless you have a spesific read that the player is solid.
