First episode of The Next Iron Chef starts at 9 tonight. Hopefully, will be a nice substitute of Top Chef.

I can see Alton is a little annoying - but it's early.

Yeah - quite a different caliber - I've seen several of the contestants on the regular iron chef. These guys/gals are real.

Very entertaining. During the speed competition, how many of them bled? It looked like three of them were cut. Is that normal for a kitchen?

I only saw the Spanish chef cut, but I can't believe how many I've seen lick their fingers and still work with the food.

It's ok so far but I wish the show was presented in a more professional way like Top Chef, the show is a little cheesy like it should be on FOX.

I agree that it's pretty cheesy. I think the music is making it way more frantic.

Why is the kitchen so hot? The freezer's at 48? Isn't that food poisoning waiting to happen? Not to mention that they're all dripping sweat into the food. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] What's the deal?

If I was Viking or Ktichenaid or whatever, I wouldn't like paying so much to get my products placed, and then seeing them all fail.
