Default *** Official West Virginia - Louisville Thread ***

Anyone out there care about this game outside of the Big East? I live in the Louisville area, so I hear a lot of hype.

Despite the general weakness of the Big East, I've got to think the winner of this game has the best chance of pairing up against OSU/Michigan for the NC. I just wish that Louisville had its Heisman candidate Michael Bush playing. Then we'd still how strong they really are.

I've still got to go with Louisville by 7.

I can't tell if you are trying to be funny or not.

So, for the OP: What "general weakness" do you perceive the Big East to have this year? Only asking, because the Big East has shown to be one of the better conferences in I-A so far.

They have? I'm not sure I've heard of anyone saying that until now. The Big East doesn't have any wins against any teams in the Top 25 I don't believe. THere isn't any love from the computers for any of the undefeated teams (due to lack of schedule strength).

Many conference ranking systems have the Big East as high as #3 (behind the SEC and PAC-10). I'll admit that I'm not sold on how solid these ranking systems are, but the Big East is not a weak football conference this year.

This "might" be the best biggest game of the year. I think both teams matchup well. We had 1 vs 2 in OSU vs Texas but that wasn't a game. I also think there's a possibility the 1 vs 2 of OSU & Michigan won't be as good as people think it will be.

I hate West Virginia, but them losing would only hurt the Big East so I got to cheer for them tonight.
