Default *OFFICIAL* \"let me down again, brian sabean\" thread

$30 million in slashed salary and how do you wanna spend it?

resign vizquel for 5 million, closing in on resigning feliz (according to KNBR, anyway) and apparently in talks with [censored] barry bonds?

i can't wait til we let tim lincecum walk so we can have the money to sign eric byrnes.

To be fair, Vizquel is still a plus-plus defender at shortstop by most ratings, so that signing seems to be fine. I have no idea how that long ass contract ended up being alright, but give credit where it's due, even to Brian Sabean. Feliz is in the same boat - a great defender at third. I understand he can't hit for [censored], but at least he has some redeeming qualities.

You will be waiting awhile on Lincecum walking. There's pretty much no chance he signs a long-term deal that buys out his arbitration years based on his actions in college and what his father and agent want for him - they feel he will never be injured and that he should get the maximum at all possible times.

All in all, the Giants have so far managed to [censored] things up less than the Dodgers. I realize that's not saying much, but keep in mind that Sabean and Colletti are cut from the same cloth and they are equals in stupidity.
