Default 10/20 jman hand but small stakes

villian is good tricky player who is a 2p2er. in this session i have made big value bets with weak hands on the river hoping he would pick them off with weaker hands thinking i missed a draw, which he did a couple times. also, hes seen me make bluffs on the river by making what looks like small value bets. i was considering all this in the hand but really he might not even realize all the bet sizing trickery thats going on and thus im a donkey for calling.

turn obv is a bet alot of times but here it was checked.

i like it for the most part and i think the call is generally +EV

i wouldn't get too attached to it before - i think strassa alluded to this before - a good player will show up here with a Q (with diamonds) or overpair or some similar hand some of the time. intending to check/call to pick off a bluff but instad sees your weak ass value bet and decides not to miss value by check/raising.

i definitely have done this from time to time with pretty marginal stuff... usually not called (got a fold) but when called i have won. hopefully these posts will increase the frequency with which i'm called

like 6 months ago, i'd say bad call. Now I am almost saying easy call, but also don't be surprised to see super thin value c/rs when you are calling this light. ^^^^ this post sums it up pretty well imo.

Since Im not a HS baller, plz educate me.

By calling here, do you assume that villain will c/r hands you beat/show a bluff often enough? And will you get to river,in similar fashion, where you hold hands you can reraise allin with and expect to get paid, as balance. Are the stacks deep enough to value bet this thin? Or am I totally missing the point of the call?

Then nice hand, OP. Let bluff happy donkeys bluff. He's also a station so there's tons of value in the river bet on its own.
