I'd reraise pf to give me some fold equity, and lead the flop about 2/3 or 3/4 of the pot.

Definitely 3-bet pre-flop. AKo isn't the kind of hand you want to under-represent when OOP. I hate folding to minbets, but I'd probably chuck it unless you have a read that he likes to overplay draws on the turn.

I think you either have to 3bet that preflop and lead the flop or steal it when he checks to you on the flop. That's the beauty of playing in position. When he checks it to you, BET . If he reraises you I muck at these limits without a read.

3 bet to 4 or so. If he pushes call, if he calls, push any flop.

You are probably ahead of his range so look to get the money in. It kinda sucks if he flat calls and you miss the flop, but he is just as likely to miss as you, unless he has a PP of course. But even then, you'll still have outs unless he has AA or KK.

As played, fold I guess. He checked behind which is kind of weird. He might have you crushed or just a simple jack. Either way, you're beat and probably have no fold equity on a shove.

I'm definitely 3betting this preflop to 4-5. With his short stack, calling a push preflop is standard.

Along with the previous posts, if you 3bet and he just calls, I put him in for the rest of his stack on the flop (if you raise to $4.5 preflop, he will have $4.5 left on the flop).

I knew not 3betting pre flop would get criticism and was poor play. Can't explain why I didn't do it, in fact I can't explain why I played this hand as I did. I actually ended up calling the river bet and going to a showdown where he had a pair of 7's for a full house (another jack came on the river).

Stupid play.
