CO is agro and on a wide range here.

CO (t3205)
Hero (t4308)
SB (t5652)

What is with his raise? Who raises 2/3 of his stack instead of going allin? Have he been doing this often or could it be some donkish move with a monster?

Not sure but I think the overpush is correct.

You pretty much answered your own question when you mentioned your read on Villain. I like coming over the top here.

Am I the only one thinking a fold is probably the smart move? Would you call here if he pushed?

SNGPT says it's a call with a range an agro guy would take. However, like most of us know it doesn't factor in the times that SB or BB would call if we fold. That raise to 2000 doesn't scare me as I see a lot of agro's try to get tricky with raises like this when they are really just holding some hand like Q7o. There's no 100% right answer here but I think overpushing here is slightly more profitable then folding.

Ok, the main reason I posted this is because the two blinds cover me. Shortie hasn't committed all of his chips, so by pushing I might end up racing one of the big stacks for all my chips while shortie can fold preflop.

Assuming it's a good idea to play this hand at all, maybe I should have called preflop instead of pushing?

Has he been agressive or passive? Does he feel like its "his turn" to win the blinds? I think NOT coming over the top here would require me to have some kind of specific read.

Generally, I overpush here.

Hey bennies,

Thanks for the PM, sorry I haven't replied in so long. I don't comment on some of the pushing hands as much as I do other hands because I haven't played sng's in over 3 months (I play cash games exclusively now) so I'm a little rusty on some of the numbers. Having said that, I've run so many SNGPT calculations that my intuition is usually pretty close.

One thing about this hand is I would not be that worried about the two people left to act. Having seen a raise and a push in front of them they will need huge hands to call and it's not happening that often. You're ahead of CO's range from the sound of it, but given the people behind you (which is a minor consideration, but in razor thin situations like this is significant), the fact that you're probably the best player left, and the chance that someone else makes a stand before you make this very close. You have virtually no FE so plug into SNGPT as a push for the range you think, but I fold. It's probably pretty close though.
