supposedly you have to request that the points be transfered to the new account before you cancel the old account. i got screwed out of mine and this is what the cs guy at party told me. i didn't really care too much b/c i didn't have all that many and in light of the new legislation it is very unlikely i will ever play at party again.

God I'm going to have to do this as well, and I'm not even sure if it will work!

I've done it once before and had no problems, has anyone on 2p2 ever done this twice and got away with it?

I'm sure u can close and reopen but I dont know if theres a way to retain ur VIP status. But in the grand scheme of things, thats not really that big a deal. I'd rather get u know what. But it is a real pain in the ars...especially bc I have to find a new way of funding my acct because they wont let u use the same credit card number or bank acct if u used it on an old acct.

I'm pretty sure you won't keep your VIP status, but its worth spending your points before you do, and ask after they have allowed you to keep your new one open.

Open a new one, and when they phone and tell you that you have two accounts and that they will open the old one and close the new, tell them that your old one is not secure. Tell them people know your e-mail addy and password, and PP account password. They cannot then make you keep it, although you may have to keep on.

I just opened a new bank account for this today.

I must have had about 8 accounts on there. I'm serious.
