Default Being blind for halloween, acceptable?

I want to throw on some Ray Charles glasses, wear a bunch of mismatched clothes, and get a stick with a red tip and tap it everywhere and go as a blind man for halloween. Half my friends think this is hilarious, the other half were horrified.

Maybe a blind zombie. Or a witch in a wheelchair.

Fwiw, some of their objections were because I would be plastered with a long stick and would probably end up abusing people.

Haha....My buddy did this for a party at a bar a few years ago. He got thrown out after being there for less than 5 minutes.

edit: The next year he went as an alter boy and his gf was a priest. They didn't have a problem with these costumes.
