i dont know why people want to 3bet the flop...once he checkraises the flop you have about 50 percent equity vs his range i would think so 3betting just allows you to getting owned by a better hand or let air off the hook.

edit - here's what i came up with when stoving it. tell me if you think i need to tweak villian's range given the action so far:

Board: 7c 8d Ts
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 32.671% 31.70% 00.98% 17258 531.50 { Ac8h }
Hand 1: 67.329% 66.35% 00.98% 36129 531.50 { Q9s-Q7s, J9s-J7s, T7s, 96s, 65s, KTo, QTo, JTo }

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see how you are letting him off the hook by 3 betting...imo it ties him to the hand more and will make him more showdown bound than a turn raise.

I like a flop 3 bet more than a turn raise. It will help prevent 3 bets going in on the turn.

It's odd, intuitively 50% equity seems way too low...

Same villain as before actually, he's too loose and too aggressive even for a juiced up 6 handed 20/40 game.

I open in the CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], he calls in the small blind, the big blind folds.

Flop T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
He checkraises, I call.

Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
He bets, I call.

River 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
He bets, I call.

What rivers would you fold? (maybe this is on the list?)

[/ QUOTE ]

perfect. that said, he has JT every time.

And maybe some more hands to describe the ability the WPEX guys have to show up with 62s here.

Previous pokerstove was incorrectly not set to "total spaz" mode.

Why would you want to 3 bet the flop???

I think you played this fine altho a turn raise has merit......might fold a 9 river but prolly call that too.\

I actually really like the way the hand was played. If you truly believe there is a place to raise I feel its the river.

7 is a pretty poor card but the hand is played well.
