rebuy mtts always add on?
Do you add on in every rebuy mtt you do? Given that in theory each chip you gain is worth less than the last do you refrain from the add on if you are over a certain point?

Because no matter how big your stack is, it can always be bigger.

Re: rebuy mtts always add on?
In general, you expect your ROI to be positive... if you expect it to be negative, you shouldn't be adding on, and you shouldn't be playing poker... or you should be playing poker for fun, and not be asking questions regarding strategy.
So if we assume our ROI is 100%(a pretty standard estimate) that means that in general, 1000 chips in our hand are as valuable as 2000 chips in an average players hand. Obviously, as stacks get very deep/shallow, the relative values of chips change, but in general this holds true. So this means if you get 1500 chips for the price of 1000 chips, you are really getting 3000 chips of value for the price of 1000. In theory, if the add-on were 500 chips, it would aprroach being correct to add-on, perhaps if you got 600-700 chips would be the threshold of profitability. |
