Rating rules for Poker Tracker Stud
Not surprisingly (and the PT people admitted this) the rules for rating players are a little lame. The only criteria considered in the default rules are the % VPIP on 3rd and the % raise on 3rd.
There are quite a few criteria than can be used, but of course none of them are substantive in character (like, % calling against a paired door, etc.). However, I do think a decent set of rating rules could be crafted. I have basically no experience with PT, but I assume it would be worthwhile to set up a good set of rules. Collaborative project, anyone? |

Yeah, I guess I’m in. If I can’t write my own ST I can at least do that, lol.

Re: Rating rules for Poker Tracker Stud
What do you think would be the best way to proceed? I guess the best way to start is to list the possible criteria and to decide how many categories to split players into.
Here are the possible criteria: 3rd street raise % Aggression Factor - 4th street Aggression Factor - 5th street Aggression Factor - 6th street Aggression Factor - River Aggression Factor - Total (NOTE: I don't know what these are) Amount won BB / 100 Check Raise - % of Actions Folder to River Bet % Saw 4th all hands % VPIP % Went to showdown % When folds - 3rd street % When folds - 4th street % When folds - 5th street % When folds - 6th street % When folds - no fold % When folds - River % Win Rate / 100 Won $ at showdown % Won $ when saw 4th % |

Re: Rating rules for Poker Tracker Stud
I think qualitative information in the form of notes are most important. I like the idea of party not writing your opponents up cards to the hard drive. I think this helps prevent against people using computers to help track cards. I'd be interested in whether my opponents played dead hands, etc.. |

Dammit - I just imported 20k hands, and the first glaring error is that it doesn’t take completions into account whatsoever.
