No poker in Montreal Casinos.

For bars and clubs, it really matter's what you're into. There is the tourist streets of St. Catherin's and Bishop, which is full of irish pubs, strippers, and loud clubs. If you want something more cool go to St. Laurant or St. Denis, on le Plateau. Awesome places to eat and drink there. For shopping, inless you want all the big name clothing stores (St. Catherines) go to Le Plateau as well.

The metro system is easy to use and will cover everywhere that you want to go, but Montreal is a very compacty city and walking around will be nice... hopefully not to cold at that time of year.

Have fun! Montreal rocks.

p.s. if you want to blow your mind, go to Shwartz deli on St. Laurant (just ask, everybody knows it) and get a smoked meat sandwich (medium), a pickle, and a cherry coke and then cream your jeans.

Alternatively you can grab some tittays in Club Cleopatra's on St Cath's and cream your jeans.

That will probably have changed by mid-October. Poker is now legal in Quebec casinos.
