they will have mgr plans for affiliates this year but no rakeback

[/ QUOTE ]

If they're giving affliates MGR, what's to stop the affliates from offering underground RB deals? Isn't this what happened at Party?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think they try and prevent that by not telling you who you are affiliated with. I was looking into becoming an affilate for Pokerstars and something on their terms and conditions said that I will not know who I am affiliated with so I cannot offer any other incentive. But I think affiliates can find ways around it.

psst! Hey guys from PS - do it, there's no way around.

The only thing I don't like is another "XX will get you banned".
But it's better than nothing.

Pokerstars, awesome game selection. Awesome traffic, so you can play any time you want. But they offer players nothing. It seems silly really to stay there since with bonuses and RB you can double your hourly rate elsewhere. I'm thinking about making full tilt home for awhile.

I only play at stars and it really sucks that they don't have any rakeback deal. I will move to tilt or somewhere else soon just because of that.

I hear the FFP for cash arguement alot but really isn't worth it unless your at least Super Nova.
There are alot of players that play every day and get a decent number of hands in but are far from what's considered "high volume" players. These player don't really get any benefit from the VIP program and are usually better off just getting 27-30% RB somewhere else.

There was a post about this a while back where someone did the math, I think at the lowest levels it was worth about 20%RB and around 30-32% at the highest levels. Also, if I understand correctly you can't even trade points for cash until you reach at certain level (platinum?) anyway.

^^i don't play much at stars, but i'm pretty sure ur right on with that last post...

still, it'd be silly to dismiss stars for this reason alone...they have great games at literally all times, great support (seems overrated, but it's nice when u need them, especially since most other sites are downright poor at this aspect)...it's a nice atmosphere and it's hard for another site to match that sunday million and the attention it gets...

also, if ur a very good player and table select well, and even if ur not, good games and fish more than make up for the amount of rakeback u can get...

that being said, i play elsewhere ...but i can see y it's one of the biggest sites out there...

You have to be at least GoldStar and you can change FPP to gift certificates.

Certificates aren't money (although it's better than nothing).
