Vegas kicks me in the rear, Commerce shows me who my real daddy is.

Hit the nut str8 in a six way pf raised pot on my first hand for a $600 pot. Next set of blinds I catch AA. Three bet to me and I just call in another 6 way pot, capped off, and I c/r 3 bet the flop to clear half the field and take down another $600+ pot.

just wanted to say that its pretty awesome playing live where nobody understands poker.

when we were playing 75 on friday there was a normally tight player that clearly thought DD was awful (he 3bet T5s and showed it down among other things). of course this same player showed down some similarly strange holdings played much more passively/incorrectly and also played many of his good hands in bad/unorthodox ways. btw no this person is not me and this person is not alone in thinking DD is a huge fish at this casino. of course all these people also think roc is a genius (play 1k/2k = superstar) and while i dislike playing him lhe he has pretty obvious never folding/random self destruct for 5BB on turn leaks

its like some of these people have learned enough from somewhere that they can barely survive playing 7+ handed but as soon as it gets shorthanded, especially 5 or less, it is just a hopeless situation bc they are basically playing a completely different poker game than before and it is a game they barely even understand the rules to. it gives me hope that maybe i wont break even for the rest of eternity.

pretty sure this is standard at any casino. a few people think he's a genius and the rest think he's a complete donk.

HOWMANY, its scary that I'm not even positive which guy you are referring to because there are multiple choices, but the funniest part (for me) of the session was for whatever reason we were discussing online poker and my website, so I gave that kid a DC business card and then had to tell him several times throughout the night "no we don't teach that".

here was a beauty that i forgot about from friday that exhibits what it takes to beat nosebleed games live and why we will probably never play as high as this person has:

step 1 open utg 8 handed or so with K6s and get 3bet by dd who holds QJ. now 4bet all in for your last chip

flop QJ3. turn K river 6

To be fair I think his play was fine considering he was about to blind out of the tournament.

How about the bet/3 bet with the naked gutterball hand?

imo deathdonkey's play there is much worse than K6s given stack size

EDIT: well, not if he was in a blind

EDIT2: pokerstove says otherwise, i guess i suck
