Re: draw against obvious AA
I think the success of your play is a function of your opponents experience level.
In the higher games people have played enough to know that most people rarely bluff these boards in 3-bet pots. That said, if your opponent is a pretty experienced player I can see him folding 25% of the time under that logic. Stacks aren't deep with normally implies low fold equity, so if he gives you credit for being competent he would think your expecting to be called and that is scary in his seat. Of course, all that means next to nothing if your opponent is not a thinking player. .... moral of the story... don't open this hand PF except 3 handed or HU on button : ) |

Re: draw against obvious AA
oh, it wasn't successful. He snap called with a dry AAxx, turn brought a 6 and I was drawing to one out. He then proceeded to berate me in chat for my play. shrug.

Re: draw against obvious AA
the problem here is your opponent is very weak, whereas your stats are solid - players like this get pushed around alot so when they get in spots like this its almost impossible to get them off the hand, which is obviously great when you hit but the times when you dont trying to bluff isnt usually a good idea
the fact that he also berated you after shows the mentality of these nits - they get bullied that often that they cant help but tell everyone how great they are when they get the better of these spots, as it happens so infrequently |
