Please elaborate on how this would be possible.

Giving users html tags by default is retarded but not for the reason of SQL injection.

The blink tag doesn't work in IE, but does work in Firefox, Mozilla and Netscape. This is perhaps the only respect in which IE is superior to Firefox.
