Fuper vs GB2005
Two hands here:
GB2005 knows i'm a thinking player. He's capable of betting a scare card like that but i'm not sure what his flop calling range is here. I feel like if he had SD value he's normally checking back unless its a strong J hey may sometimes bet. Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $15/$30 9 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $3035 UTG+1: $1940 MP1: $5430 MP2: $3610 MP3: $2785 CO: $3050 Button: $7055 SB: $2320 BB: $2940 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises to $105, 5 folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($780, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $510, Hero? This one is after the first. Two main questions: Is my 3 bet size pre appropriate? Is this flop a totally hopeless bet? Re: Fuper vs GB2005
I 3-bet size is fine preflop, especially from UTG. Thinking players will interpret this as a strong hand. Although if you know there are LAG players behind you left to act you could make it 120-150.
Bet isnt hopeless for hand 2, villain will be folding unless he has a mid to high pocket pair. I would call the bet and shove the river if a blank comes out. -- |

Re: Fuper vs GB2005
If you don't have the best hand in hand 1 already, you probably have 15-17 outs to make best hand.
The pot is 1200 and you have 2700 behind, a pot sized raise 1700 so I'm really tempted to jam because if you call you aren't getting paid if you hit the river being OOP Your line also looks like stack-a-donk so he may fold a J and small % of the time, but that's probably the only hand you are behind of that folds. Meh, given you are a head x% and are 30% to make your hand, and you don't get paid if you just call I think I jam here, but I'm not particularly good. 2 Your 3 bet is a little big, I like 9BB's (270) or a pot sized bet (230sh), it accomplishes the same thing and doesn't bloat the pot OOP, and can looks scarier than a large 3bet (to me at least). Is this flop bet hopeless? Are you betting this flop the same with an overpair? A half pot looks a bit more menacing on this meh flop, but that begs to be 3 bet with your stack. Maybe try c/r the flop or if he checks it through try c/r the turn due to stack size. I hate c/f when 3betting OOP, but having 2600 left with a pot of 800 OOP is pretty akward Given that he called with pretty [censored] implied odds you just may be screwed regardless. |

Re: Fuper vs GB2005
Hand 1. I checkraise allin the turn with the middle pp and OESFD. I would probably have bet big rather than check. I gather you folded, which seems weak.
Hand 2. Preflop and flop seem standard. Since you reraised preflop, it is reasonable to cbet, representing a big pair. Villain probably isn't calling both without a pair. On the turn, you have 1600 left with 2000 in the pot. You probably have 5 outs, so I would often push representing an overpair. This depends on read. If villain always has a pair and isn't folding, then c/f. If you think he could be floating or might fold some pps, then push on the semibluff with all the money already in the pot. If you follow my posts, I busted out of two fairly high buyin tournaments near the bubble today semibluffing my stack, so I don't know if you should follow my advice on semibluffing aggressively. |

Re: Fuper vs GB2005
Also, i'll pose a question to the guys here, for hand 2, do you think a thinking player or unknown is more likely to fold to a turn shove?
