Default Full Tilt - knockout mtt\'s help

Just entered one of these to see what it is all about and I soon got the picture, people are going all in/calling with basically nothing just to try and take each other out and win 1/5th of their buy in back.

Anyone have any tips on how to play these, Just got past the first hour and I have been playing really tight so far, upto about 3.2k and took 2 shortstacks out.

Seems like a lotto to me.

I think the bounty is too small to drastically effect EV calling decisions. I may be less inclined to shove into someone light if they are going to call lighter because of the bounty.

If I made any adjustment at all, it would be to
slightly tighten my raising ranges, and push them
way over aggro. I would also be loosening my
play in LP, especially in multiway pots.

Yes, i have noticed that too soooted, the most profitable situation in these is when you wake up with a hand in late position and someone else has only like 100 chips or so. People start raising and pushing with crap just to be the one who takes the shorty out. Just play your normal game, if you play/run well the bouties will come easy.

I have played quite a few of these and honestly have not seen that drastic of a change from a normal fo. Maybe very very early there will be a few players donking to get a bounty but thats about it.

The good thing about KOs are too many players register to them, like 2-3x normal tournament players. I'm playing them just for that reason. The bad thing about them is 1/5 of the prize pool goes to KO bonuses. Players make short stack life really hard but also donks pay you handsomely when you have a good hand. And you may tighten your plays because people really want to knock other people out.

I play the UB 6.50 bounties and see the same donk retarded plays as your average 4.40/180 on stars.
