Default Blackjack bonus - .4% edge too small for a beginner?

I'm thinking of picking up blackjack, but I've only played fake money games before. Is a .4% edge (100x bonus - .6% (dealer hits on soft 17)) big enough for a beginner to show a profit, or will I probably lose money or go broke. I have a basic strategy chart, but I do notice a fair amount of errors in my game still.
I'm looking more for something to pass the time, make money, and learn, as opposed to just making a quick profit.

Uh, read one of the 'casinobonuswhoring' websites.

One of the frequent posters here has such a site; the name of the site is beatingbonuses.com

I envy those who are about to whore casinos for their first time...so much money out there if you haven't done any signups before or haven't been banned from many monthlies.

I envy those who whored casinos back in 2000...so much money out there when there were BJ bonuses at 2x WR, $1,000 reloads, and naive casino promotion managers .

Try....

http://www.playperfectblackjack.com

They've got free software that gives you the exact moves you need to make for playing perfect blackjack strategy as you play. They've also got an up-to-date list of the main casinos that still support blackjack as a qualifying game for bonuses.

Please, Please take up poker instead. The industry needs you.

5/10 to 25/50 limit, would be nice.

I can recommend sites......

LOL! Yeah, that strategy chart sure is hard to follow. And if you start playing poker - don't play limit. Remember, if you play no limit you can go all in with any hand!
