Default 200/400 Live. Nut Flush

200/400 Live

Tight aggressive game with good players. In an unusual hand it was fold to me on the button with Ah9h. I raise, expert in sb calls, good player in BB calls.

Flop Kh,2d,5H.

SB leads, BB makes it 2 bets, I 3 bet, both call.
(clear to me and I think everone that SB had a smaller flush draw).

Turn Qc

both check, I check.

River Qh.

SB leads, BB raises, I.........

I believe that BB would not reraise unless he could beat a flush.

What do I do? I know what I did, but results aside, I would love feed back on all streets, especially the river.

I don't know about the flop 3 bet. Someone is seeing showdown with you, i think the chance to actually pop a big street when you make a flush is more valuable than pumping this now. As played, the river seems like a very straightforward call, i don't see what else you would do.

I'm having trouble understanding how someone can be an expert and yet essentially have his hand faceup on the table to everyone based on his flop action.

in limit sometimes you (an expert) just turn your hand faceup because the pot is too big for subtrifuge (there is going to be a showdown you cant win unless you hit and the pot is big enuf you arent folding). the flop 3 bet is only good if you KNOW you wont get 4 bet and wont get bet into on the turn when you miss....therefor its not a good 3 bet because these standards are not met.

i think it is closer to a fold then a 3 bet. as i mention i can't see this player reraising unless he can beat a flush.

by 3 betting i might be seeing the river for free if i choose to. since i am calling 2 bets might as well make it 3 and try for a free card if i want.

on the river, i think i can call, or can fold, my read is that he would never reraise unless he can beat a flush.

No way is your hand anywhere close to a fold. Calling might be right if the other player will overcall, but raising might be good, too.

Either course of action is good to do, and this is a great spot to get some big action in where, unless you are up against AK or a set, you are in great shape. Even if you are against either hand, you are only giving up "pennies." I always tend to play big pots, though, when I have position and a good hand, but it's a matter of style.
