I suspected this would be true- I posted a question as to whether video poker in PA racinos was also really a masked slot machine:

Yeah, I like Bishop's answer, in that I'm basically just playing out of my own queue of 11 or so cards, and the other guy's play doesn't matter to me. I did have the same fears as you after reading these same articles, all of which say basically the same thing.
I'm guessing that meets the "slot machine" definition, but I don't know for sure. I'm hoping Bishop is right in his analysis of how the machine works, because generally speaking, that is not going to be any real impact on how any one person can play the machine to an optimal (albeit still negative) return. |
