Re: Is this standard
betting bottom of the bottomest pair with best kicker in a 6way pot is generally not a great idea
that you did ... whatever on the turn ... you got called on a completely dry flop by two players - you are unlikely to be ahead and now have a number of solid outs (take your free card as they aren't folding whatever they called with on the flop) |

Re: Is this standard
I prolly just check behind the flop.
As played, I take the free card on the turn. River is fine w/ the 2nd nuts |

Re: Is this standard
Check the flop. You rarely have the best hand (no immediate value in betting), you're rarely folding out better hands (no bluff potential), and you might get check-raised (okay... maybe not such a big deal against weak passive players, but keep it in mind). Thinking that it might buy you a free river card? Maybe, but I'd rather take the free card now.

Re: Is this standard
I'd most likely check the flop and definitely check the turn. Since you got called in two spots on a relatively drawless flop, I would expect one, if not both opponents to have a better hand than you that they aren't folding on the turn. Take the free card.

Re: Is this standard
I would probably check the flop, but since you didn't, I would take the freebie that was offered on the turn.
To be honest, I would probably bet the flop, but I know it's probably wrong. You don't have an equity edge, and you won't take it down right there, so I would probably check and take the freebie. Yeah, def check the turn, you're probably not the only player to pick up some sort of draw. |
